Angry cost of parts for a nissan pathfinder

so my sister got a 99 nissan pathfinder 3.3L auto 2wd awhile ago its nice i told her to get a toyota but no ..... so it started to run funny a few weeks ago
stalling etc then it just stop running a few days ago i thought maybe it was the fuel pump cause she drives around alot when its almost empty so we took it in to have them run some test on it etc so i wouldn't have to get unneeded parts ...... ok $65 dollars later turns out that 120k miles really did a number on the distributor cap hint never had a tune up so i go to the local napa like $38 dollars for the cap and like $9 for the rotor wow so i take that thinking i can get the truck to run to get it off the shop parking lot .... yea right i start to gently pull the spark plug wires off this dist cap and one of them just falls apart wire pulls out no wonder it dont run.... so i call napa ask what plug wires cost ngk are are like $80 something dollars or napa belden wires are around $74dollars o and the spark plugs are like $45 bucks

Likely have been replaced with cheap NAPA parts before.

You get what you pay for

Napa parts are much like all other aftermarket parts...they are cheap, and cheap quality. Some are better that others. 130k on all factory parts? Are you 100% sure it has never been changed before?

We live in the PNW, it doesn't take long for things to become weathered lol.

i replaced my wires with autozone stuff because they came apart while replacing my plugs, and i was about 100 miles away from the closest toy dealer.
