Well, my 88 4-Runner v6 has leaking valve covers. Bad enough to leave slightly larger than golf ball sized stains in the driveway. I would like to get both of them done and do not have the time nor patience at the moment to pull the intake and do them myself. So I am going to buy all the gaskets and parts ( valve cover gaskets, intake plenum gasket, TB gasket, pcv valve and gasket, rtv) and take it to a shop to have it done. How many hours would you say it would take them? Anyone have this done before? How much did your shop charge an hour and how much they charge you to replace them?

Two hours should be plenty unless the gaskets are glued in. Mine came right out.

only gaskets you need are valve covers and plentum, the rest of the parts need not be removed

I just had mine replaced and it was 450 total, thats with the gasket an oil change and an engine wash.
