Trail Gear wheel spacers

Has anyone ever used the Trail Gear wheel spacers? Are they a good idea for extra width? Thanks

lots of people use em..but don't go over about 1.5"-2" or there will be a LOT of stress put on your hubs and bearings and cause them to wear out faster..

1.5" spacers make a BIG difference in stability and handling..but your tires might possible rub..

yep just bought 1.5" wheel spacers from TG. good product simple to install. they do rub a tiny bit but not as bad as it was before it kinda just hits the fender flare or something. but the handelin is better too.

So would the 2 inch spacers be pushing it to much?

well i've seen people run 2" spacers....but ask yourself...is the extra .5" on each side REALLY worth taking the risk of screwing up some bearings and potentially causing some BAD problems..

i say stick with the 1.5" spacers..lol

Does an extra half-inch really put that much stress? Our trucks are damn light.

light? How much do you think your truck weighs?

I'm hovering around 5k curb weight depending on what I load in the truck.

well..my '86 don't weigh a LOT..me and one other guy can pick up the rear of my truck..and me and 4 or 5 of them can pick up the front..LMAO!!!

now the '92 4runner...thats a different story..i bet it's around 4500-5000 or above lol

and yes 1/2in could be the difference in a set of bearings lasting a LONG time..or a set of bearings lasting 20,000 miles or less...

Ok, I'll be the first to ask... What wheels are you running? Wheels come with different back spacking, which is the distance they are offset off the mounting face.

Granted, wheel-spacers are much CHEAPER than new wheels but it's something to think about.

And ill be the first to ask this one too, why do you want wheel spacers? Whats the reason? Just to be a little wider?
