Need help with gauges

What exactly do you mean? Like the oil pressure sending unit? Or actual wires, or what?
If you've got idiot lights, then you've got an oil pressure...can't remember the name. There are two kinds. One is for the idiot light, and one is for an actual gauge. If you hook the idiot light switch up to a gauge, you run a very real risk of frying your gauge. They're two different plugs. One I think is an oil switch, the other a sending unit. Switch for idiot light, sending unit for gauge.
The switch and sending unit thread into the oil galleys in the engine block. There are some threaded plugs with a hex pattern in them, in a couple locations on the block. Intake side seems to be where the oil switch/sending units are usually threaded in. You'd just want to drain your oil, take out the plug, screw in the sending unit.
