Ignition Key Lock Cylinder
Have a 2006 4 cyl tacoma 2.7lt engine. An attempt was made to steal it and they jammed something into the key cylinder so I must replace it as my key will not work. I have the part and am wondering if anyone could assist me as to how I remove the old cylinder and replace with the new? Thanks

There is usually a release pin underneath the lock that you depress to release the lock cylinder:

you dont need to remove the cable.
but, like mentioned above..but not all in one reply
key in ACC position then just push in the pin (usually on the bottom) have to remove the panel below the cylinder, wherever it is on your rig... and the cylinder *should* slip right out. Same for putting the new one back in, just reverse it
