I was wheelin up in boulder upper carnage and my gas tank hit several rock...

I have a 2+ inch body lift I would like to just lift the GAS tank not the engine nor drive train is the possible???

And what would I need to do...I look at 4 crawler did not find a step by step guide for gas tank lifts...

I'm sure you YOTA off roaders have have issues with the GAS tank hitting it sits too low no matter what tire size you put on...

I did the gas tank lift on my 87. It's very simple to do. The spacer on the rear end of the tank gets moved to the top of the bracket on the frame which gives you +/-2". Then you cut the gussets on the front mount (on the frame), and mount the front of the tank to the top of the bracket. You should be able to clear it with your 2" BL, but measure to make sure before cutting things up. Mine's a 3" BL, with room to spare.

Before...

After...

You'll need to figure out something for a skid plate, because the original one won't fit.

And there is an explanation of the tank-only lift on my page (link posted earlier).

Note, if only raising the tank 2" (on a 1st gen 4Runner) simply remove the 2" drop spacer from the front crossmember and use it in back to raise the mounting bracket 2".
