Elocker...8" to elocker housing

I know the 8" housing can be modified to accept the elocker, but I have never seen it ever mentioned if you can throw the regular 8" rear on an elocker housing. The reason I am wondering is my yota is being taken for recall. But I would like that elocker yet dont want to swap the whole axle. I think keeping the same wms and all would actually be easier. The r&p is the same so for the most part easy.

Opinions and answers thanks....

I was looking at doing this to test out a gear ratio. I think you can I'm not sure about being able to seal it up good, and you'll want to drill and tap the 2 relocated holes so that you're only minus 1 hole at the 3 o'clock position. If it is only to take it to the dealer for turn in? To be honest swapping the whole axle would probably be easier.
