electrical problems with 88 2wd 22R
I have a 88 22R 2wd.The truck will turn over but will not start up.It is not getting a spark at the plugs.I had the alternater rebuilt, have put new wires and cap and rotor on it.I changed the computer or control module in the passenger side kick panel.I have changed the coil and Igniter but maybe the used/new one is bad.Does any one know which wires from the distributer, coil, igniter, should have power and how important it may be to test how much power. Also any suggestions as to why this truck wont run.

Typically, 90% of the time when spark is not generated is because of the igniter. But since you have changed that, it should not be a factor.
You called it a "used/new" one. Is it new/new or used/new-to-you?
The other ignition related component is the Signal Generator/Pickup Coil" in the distributor itself. You'll need to test that as well.
That computer does nothing in regards to the ignition. For our 22R, it is mostly for emissions related components. Not all, but mostly.
There's an eletronic version of the factory service manual (FSM) in PDF format around here somewhere. It will show the procedure for diagnosing a no-start issue. I would say search for "FSM".
That will get you started until others can chime in.
