well it all depends on how much you want to spend and how you want it to ride.
there are block lifts for the coils, or new longer coil springs, or coilovers,

its all up to you.

i have Swayaway coilovers in the front and old man emu shocks and springs in the back

wheelersoffroad.com has some options all laid out

O.M.E. lifts are a great product for the money and many members of this forum run their products.

check it out. and try searching those brands on this forum.

hope that helps

Been doing lots of research on lifting 3rd Gen Runners (96-02) and if you want the best and most complete system I suggest you check out sonoransteel.com

i am in the same boat i am 17 and have now had my 4runner for almost a year now and have been considering lifting and which way to go. The first guy I talked to sent me some links and told me to read a lot then read read a lot more. So I did and I really like the way Sonoran steel has built there systems. But another thing to consider is to do a little bit of suspension lift and a little bit body lift. You have to decide how your going to drive your t4r because if your like me it's my only car and I dont want it driving like if its all i got. So I believe the best way to go is a little body and a little suspension because it's going to keep the original driving geometry closer to stock. Meaning it wont sway as hard or be really unresponsive but still a relatively easy drive for every day use. I would start looking at

http://www.sonoransteel.com/store_co...tml#System_1.2
http://www.4crawler.com/4x4/ForSale/ProductLine.shtml

These are two good places to start reading but this is defiantly not something you want to rush into blindly. So I stick by what I was told read a lot then a lot more.
