Toyota offered turbos (22re-t) in their 86 and 87 4runners and trucks. Also I was told 22r and 22re had different cylinder heads for the efi systems. I was also told because of the different heads, that the bolt holes, to bolt the heads on, had a different pattern. But I'm not sure about the bolt hole patterns. Heads are different. Any one know ?

My roommate walked into Toyota in 1987 and purchased a turbo 5spd truck off the lot. I own a turbo 5sd truck 87, and turbo 4runner auto 87. I think all 4runners turbos are autos. Trucks came either 5spd or auto.
