How do you remove the rear drums on 2006 Tacoma.
wanted to inspect my drums and shoes on my 2006 Tacoma. Took the wheels off, released parking brake, and hammered a bit, but no luck.
What's the secret? I wish these were disc brakes....

Two holes on there are for a fine threaded 13mm bolt iirc, they will push the drums off the shoes. You really need to open up the adjuster slot (if its plugged with a cap), get a brake spoon and loosen the adjustment till you can pull them off easy.

two holes?
Where are these -2- holes located? I looked all over the back side of the drum/axle where the rubber plug was located.
