I got a V6 brake MC and dual diaphram brake booster off a 2nd gen runner for $20 not too long ago. After installing that my truck feels much safer stopping.

I agree. None of the yards around here let you do your own pulling.

Not much change in gas mileage, none at that. But it does allow me to now re-crank my torsion bars a bit with out the CV boot wear, leveling it out just a little bit.

Mmmm, that's a pretty light duty winch.
You may want to sell it and get a higher rated one.

Weigh your vehicle with all the gear that you carry on the trail, full tank of fuel, you, and any other that you often take with you.

Take that weight and multiply it by 1.5 (minimum, x2 is better) and that's the weight that the winch capacity needs to be to be safe.

Also, remember that the stated winch capacity (6000 lbs in your case) is ONLY for the first roll of wire, any more and the capacity drops.

Be safe. You're setup, most likely, is not.

I just bought myself a set of Aisin hubs from my local pick-n-pull for a total of 16.95 per in functioning condition. I also procured a York air compressor (highest volume model) for an extra 20 bucks. Last weekend was great.

I have very accurate records of fuel use and mileage. Several years worth.

When I installed Aisin hubs and started driving unlocked on the street, mileage went up 1.38 MPG, averaged over 8 fillups. No ther changes were made to the 4runner at that time.

Myth? No. Big improvement? No.

YMMV

I agree....you can clearly see an increase from the after_exhaust curve to the after_hubs curve:
