transmission Fix lube
So I swaped in another w56 I had laying around that I thought just had a bad input seal. I replaced the seal, put new Lucus synthetic 75-90 in and bolted back in the truck. Well to my surprise (not really) whinning again. No where near as bad as the one I took out. The whine goes away in 4th and it shifts and drives very well. I am thinking one of the driven shaft bearings is going bad but I will wait until it gets really bad then swap again...
My question is has anyone had any luck with any sort of trans fix-it (magic) stuff? I never buy any of this type of crap but I thought I might try something.

Oh ya I am well aware that it is going to go. This is the 5th trans that I have. I now have 4 "sloppy joes" in the back yard. I have had them in and out of different trucks but they all fail the same way. I guess you can't expect a manual trans to last much more then 400k km.
Wait for scrap to go up then chuck them all.

Its the front main bearing that goes bad. It gets the least lube.
4 th is quiet because its 1 to 1. Input and output shafts are connected so no power is transmitted down to the counter shaft which puts load on the bearings.
I took my "Sloppy Joes" apart to make a "Good Joe". The front and rear main bearings are the same so I used the good rear for the front.
