i love the fuel container mount, and the spare on the 'gate. looks really nice, and functional!

Thanks. The backspacing is 3.75" on the streetlocks (with the bolts removed). The bumpers, sliders and tire carrier were all made by http://www.badlandbumpers.com. To share a secret, there is only one non-Toyota or Suzuki that is running around with one of his bumpers. My buddy has a 97 Ford Explorer that has their front tube bumper and sliders on it on Long Island, NY. Here is a front shot of my truck.

i know people that have 33s and 4.10s and it sucks, its doable but it still sucks.

well im only gonna regear once and its gonna be 5.29's with an arb up front and elocker or arb in the rear when i sas and 36/37's so i just went w/ the 33's for now and will sell em when i sas and go big. i dont do much driving so the benefit of the ground clearance, and better traction offroad was worth it to me.

Its gonna be a dog, thats for sure. The auto was undergeared from the factory. You would need 5.29 or 5.71 gears for 33"s

My "other" truck is an 87 with an automatic and 5.29's and it turns 38" Swampers just fine on the road and the trail. I don't know if it is modded inside, but I do have headers on it.

I ran 4:88's with my 33x12.50's on both my '91 & '92. Both had Automatics and as everyone know the 3.slow got it's name for a reason. I got about 12 mpg out both rigs and it was a slug. Go with the 31's and locker. It will get you more places, less breakage and cheaper to replace. Just my opinion.

I have to agree with seafarinman. 33 and stock gears are not a good combo. I cant even use 5th gear anymore now that I've put my 33" on. Good thing mines not a DD. {I have plans to regear to 5.29 anyways because I KNOW there will be 35's in the future and I only want to regear once}

My DD (94 truck) has an R150F, 5.29's and 37's with a 3.SLOW and it works okay.

bottom line, its ok, you might want to try it, if you cant stand it, you can always regear.
x2. I have had no probs with my 34's when I had 4.10's. I would say it was just tollerable. Now I'm running 4.30's since I swapped in the E-locker. Not ideal, but not worth $500 to regear.

Dude... You have a 3.4 pushing those thing around, it's not the same for us 22RE folks.

To answer your question... It's noticable. I had some crappy no name 33in mt's for trail use, and getting to the trail sucked. if there are hills, you'll be in 3rd doing 45 to get up them. Re-gear, be kind to the litle engine that could.

I'm getting a 3rd gen in the near future (still hunting for the perfect one) and am wondering if anyone here knows the cost for a good set of 4.88 gears? I have a buddy who is a real good mechanic and could help me install for next to nothing so labor isn't gonna be a real big deal. I am wanting to run 33's for sure.
