Possible clutch problem?

I own a manual 94 pickup and today I was helping my brother in law move some wood flooring. His driveway is on a slight slope and when loading it up it moved a bit when pushed. I had it parked in first with the parking break pulled. Later on I had it parked in his driveway again (in first with the parking break pulled) and it randomly rolled about a foot. Both times I had my truck pointed upwards if that makes a difference.

P.s. just clarifying that nobody was behind the wheel and of course the engine was off.

Sounds like your Parking Brake is not working correct or needs adjusted

While you have it in gear the only thing holding it is the compression so unless you have a fresh rebuilt just broken in .

If the parking brake is not working depending on the compression it very well might move

Aha kinda started to think that myself. Just questioned the clutch because I heard that it shouldn't move at all when it is parked in gear. Thanks for the insight.

you need to think about what you read sometimes.

if your engine is old and tired a 1/4 million miles .

I can take and turn the engine over with the plugs in with my hand on the crank pulley .

Think this will hold @ 4000 pound vehicle on any sort of grade

Or park it in reverse which has a steeper ratio.
