Parts I can Eliminate?
I'm in the process of rebuilding my motor. I no longer need emissions testing due to the age of the rig. This year was my last. I'm pretty sure the truck is cali-smog spec as I have a pre and post cat o2 sensor, egr, pair, and all the vacuum lines. When I cross-ref in the FSM mine is always the one with everything.
What can I eliminate? What can I remove and not throw codes? What must I keep? I'm looking to simplify the truck. If everything has to stay, so be it. I've never really had any problems with any of the emissions parts, but they do make the motor a mess.
Thanks.

And they keep you from poisoning everyone in Maryland (including yourself).
You're not going to get any measurable improvement in performance by modifying the engine that way. I assume the "mess" you're referring to is that it looks like it did when it was new, not that it's leaking oil or anything.
Do yourself and your neighbors a favor. If the stuff is working, keep it. (If it isn't working, just fix it.)

I had an issue with my EGR so I tried the bypass trick. I ended up just fixing the EGR because when I did the bypass trick it caused build up in the intake manifold. lesson learned. +1 for leave it alone or fix it.

If its working leave it be, but if your re-building ur motor and have easy access, you could pull it and or not re-install, LC eng. has block off plates. MAYBE a bit more HP, clean up the engine clutter for sure. Anyone worried about poison should sell their vehical and ride a bike!
