Oil Temp Gauge - always in the middle
Hi All -
Water Temp Gauge not oil temp gauge. Error by myself.
Regardless of motor temperature or water temperature, my WATER Temp gauge in my 3.0 3vze moves to the middle immediately.
On first start of the motor in day (morning), it moves to the middle.
Do I replace sender?
thank you in earnest.

Sounds like the sender, since the gauge rises upon powering up. But could be a bad/corroded wire or connection. Be sure to get the temperature sender, not the coolant temp sensor which is for the ecu and is a different animal. The sender is smaller.

when i first start my truck in the morning, its a little above half. when driven after awhile it lowers at idle, and then upon accelerating ( or cruising ) it stays a little above a quarter.
