Non working speedometer

My 90 4runner 22RE 5 speeds speedo has not worked since I got it. I pulled a dash cluster from a vehicle in the junk yard and it has no cable. Is my speedo electric? Any one have this problem?

im pretty sure yours anit electric it may just need a new cable
