1985 straight axle?

This says 1986 to 1995 pickups. Can the zuk mod be done on a 84 or 85 straight axle truck?

It's a helper spring nothing more nothing less, you could do it even on independent rear suspension vehicles if you source the right spring.

Just completed this mod with 100# springs (11" BM). Liking it a lot. Even with my sleeping platform, tools etc stowed... it is stock height and smooth. I cannot abide a rough ride thus the 100#ers ( i had droop but not as much as others) and didn't go with emu or other options. I did take the time to bedline the bracket before installation.

Deep appreciation to those who figured this mod out. Took about 2 hours with rented spring compressors. Still best to detach the lower shock mount.
