my truck got busted into..need help with alarm install
so last night my 87 truck got busted into and they jacked my subs and amp(which was under the seat..dunno how they did that because it was bolted down...and a dollar out the ashtray and my sons flip flops...
so i got a new alarm 2 way pager, now i want to put a relay on the starter wire, so if the alarm goes off they cant start the truck.
Also i want to put a kill switch on the fuel pump..and HIDE IT AWAY...read about those on here a few times
SO HELP ME PLEASE....not the greatest on electric stuf..but i can get by.
i want the alrm to go off when the doors open and and also when the dome light turns on ..also want the wipers to turn on and want to integrate it with the horn.
basically want to wake the the whole apartment place if this alarm goes off.
and also prevent my truck from getting stolen.
thanks guys

they stole exactly $1 from the ash tray?
them selfish bastards...
it's sad, it really is...
the kit didn't come with any install instructions, or are you trying to just do a custom install and add some bells and whistles to the thing?

put the siren(s) INSIDE the car.
hook the alarm up to honk a horn in the engine bay like the new car factory alarms do.
put the alarm brain in a spot where it won't get wet
put an alarm LED in the top of each door panel. usually they are hooked up in SERIES.
A potential felon that sees twin LEDs that blink simultaneously will think 2x about breaking into your rig. Unless there is visible stuff, like a laptop or something in the rig.

I am sad to hear that happens. I hate hearing stories like this. Makes me paranoid. Now I have a top of the line alarm, Multiple kill switches, Back up Sirens, back up alarm batteries, broken glass sensors, shock sensors, motion sensors, door sensors, light sensors, hood & trunk sensors, two way paging, cell paging, laptop tracking, Lojack, and GPS tracking, and registered it with the AATA in case it becomes one of the thousands of vehicles stolen either between 1am-5am or they try to cross the Mexican border with out me in the car. I know several people who have gone through all the same efforts and still never got the vehicle back. I guess if they want it bad enough, they will find a way. Sucks eh?

ok buddy heres the pictures we talked about before sorry it took so lomg to get them up and sorry used my cell phone to take them and i know i have wires everywhere but ill explain everyone of them!!!!
ok take your lower dash off and your drivers kick panel it should look like this now
this is the always 12+ wire in the BIG wire harness
take the red wire from the alarm and make it work with this wire
12+ is white on 87 yota(test first to make sure)
this is the wire for the YELLOW WIRE it goes here same harness
12+ switched (i think the yellow one on alarm) is blue with red strip(test wire first to make sure)
you can ground it anywhere i chose here
power door locks
this little guy is tucked way up in the dash on the far right side above the CC box just under the dash here my fingers are on the plug used
12+ (test first to make sure)
here is the door trigger its at the bottom drivers side in the hole there 12-
(test to make sure)
parking lights under the carpet drivers side
blue with thingys on it (test first to make sure)
and thats about it other then the wires going under the hood for the speaker
if you have any questions feel free to call me and i can guide you though it!!

ok on a relay for the starter disable
theres 87,87a,86,85,30
ok 86 and 87a go together to the starter wire FROM the key
85 goes to the GROUNDED output from the alarm when the alram is armed
(say that 10 times fast)
30 goes the the starter wire to the starter
so the wire on the starter should look like this here....
key ========= 87a relay 30 ======== starter
\
===86 85 ====== to alarm when armed ground!
this is what you want
sorry my scanner is not working right now

hey guys, you made me think and have got me thinking hard about what i gotta do to protect my pride and joy, like the song by stevie ray vaughan. i got robbed about 4 months ago now, i got a 91 3vz 4runner sr5 limited. im not sure wat its called but i have central locking but no alarm, it needs to be pressed to make the car run, if its not pressed the car wont start, anyways is there a way of hooking up an alarm to that or something what would be my best way of going about it, to get an alarm in there
