Well got it running again.... No more oil pump leak Now I'm noticing a huge change in power in my truck.... I adjusted the MAFS about a week ago before i got my snorkel done, i noticed a little change in response and highway driving. I just took my truck for a 80 mile ride on highway and back roads and OMG.... Now i have both a 22re and a 3.0 both 94's and usually i like to the 3.0 for it's bit more power even though it needs work..
I need to get this truck in the woods asap... This is by far the best my truck has ever run, and i've had it since 01. Dunno if it's just the combination of a fresh rebuild good cam and the few other parts i mentioned above, but man i think just getting the truck a good cold flow of air has made the biggest difference....

Auto parts section. Indoor/outdoor temp guage. But instead of outdoors, the sensor is run next to the filter. I was putting in my CB and had to run the coax, it was a perfect time to throw the sensor wire throught there.
http://www.jcwhitney.com/ look up thermometers and clocks
Any of those should do the trick. Except the one thats just a clock, of course.
I got mine at Fred Meyer.

Yep.
I made the partition last night. I still need to get some weatherstripping to seal it off as best as I can from the rest of the engine compartment.
Kept an eye on the temp this morning. On the freeway, I was about 2.5 degrees over ambient air. (42 outside, temp guage read 44.5 at the intake.) At idle the temp would still start to rise, but at a much slower rate. I would normally get up to 70 degrees just sitting at a long light, today it didn't get out of the 50's. So its helping, but I could definitely make it better.
It has been interesting to watch the numbers difference between mine and the pineapple snorkel!
It would help if he would just tell me his numbers on the trail instead of RUBBING IT IN!!!!!!

My air is cooler than yours....

Cool... Get em up.. I think i should've gone through the inner fender rather then going down. Seemed like a good idea at the time, but think i'll end up getting it up through the fender somewhere in the end. atleast it's an easy fix little plate little weld.... LOL

There. Got it together and lined it with cheapo dynamat. Seems to help, but I haven't found good weather stripping to seal off the top edge. Gonna run it as is for a little while. It still heats up at stop lights, but at a way slower rate and cools down quickly once I get back on the throttle.
happy now, Logan?!?

Thanks Jerry, once I got the template in Cardboard, the rest went fairly quick. The wires along the fender and the top have to be the big gaps still letting in heat at a stoplight. No biggie, I can already tell a difference on the temp guage. Just gotta see out on a trail somewhere when the motor is working hard. That was the biggest difference.....
