Got a TJM brushguard...
Hey guys,
I just bought me a 1988 4Runner. It's in good shape, just needs a little work on the interior. But anyways, it has this big ol' TJM brushguard on the front. It looks like this one http://www.tjmbullbars.com/s1367u.htm
It's in good shape, has a little surface rust on the bare metal parts (namely the winch and where some lights used to sit), it's painted black, and has a big winch on the front. But I don't think I will ever have much of a need for it, so if any of you are interested, hit me up and we can talk about it! I would actually like to swap for a stock bumper for my 4runner (with some cash thrown in...)
I'll post some pics soon. The thing looks awesome. Now I just need to fix this little exhaust leak (crack in the maifold - i've heard JB weld works... any ideas?) and diagnose it's little issue with running rich.

if it cost 1200 it must be a 9.5 Thermometric or whatever it is...The XD9000 is like 800 tops brand new. If he spent that much, he oughta know what he bought.

Hey Rustbucket I am in Cumming GA right now so......
Ley me know what is up. Is the 88 4Runner the 1sr gen body style? My truck is a 3rd gen so I just realized it might not work. But I might still be interested in looking at it, or at least the winch. He might have paid 1200 for the whole winch bumper combo.

That maybe more reasonable, but that would make the bumper pretty cheap. i doubt I'm up for buyin a winch now anyways.

Yeah, might as well keep the sucker.
Now I just gotta get me a big bumper for the back!
By the way, this thing is coming together... just put on a new exhaust manifold and it's at Meinecke getting a whole new exhaust system (it came from Alabama and had no cat and was all punctured and disgusting - apparently they don't have laws or no one can read them.) Tomorrow is new radiator and new wheel cylinders and a super-thorough undercleaning. Speaking of which, any tips and tricks as to how to clean a muddy and greasy underside? Greased Lightning and a powerwasher?
