Electrical Problem. Need help.
I just installed a 120 amp alternator, I installed 5 ga. cable from the alternator to the fuse box. I also installed a 5 ga. cable from the other side of the fuse to the battery, also installed a 120 amp fuse in place of the 80 amp.
I hooked evey thing back up and I have no power to the inside of the cab (dash lights, starter clock). Ther is power to the fuse panel in ds kick panel because theres a relay clicking when I turn the key.
The head lamps work the hazard lights work. I checked all the fuses in the kick panel and uder the hood all seem good.
Its an 88 4 runner and was working fine before the swap except for the batt and charge lamp staying on which is why I replaced the alternator.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Aparently there is something in the stock harness that is needed for the cab to have power. I wired up the stock charge wire and walah, power.
As soon as I get more time ill figure out what I missed and go back with the 5 ga. cable.

Yeah IIRC the stock harness splits off and one group of wires goes into the drivers side fender (maybe to the in-cab fuse box ) while the rest go around to the under-hood fuse box. I'm running dual or tandem alt cables with no problems.
