can you put manual windows in power doors?
I just got a 1991 4runner, It has rusted out doors. It currently has manual windows but all the replacement doors I can find have power windows. Does anyone know if the door shells are the same? meaning I could buy doors with power windows and use all the guts out of mine to convert them to manual windows/locks? I tried searching but I could not find anything confirming that this will work.

Not too sure if it will work or not but alot of auto makers build there doors to go either way. Its alot cheaper to make one type of door rather than 2 versions depending on the options.
If I was you I would hit up a wrecking yard and see what you can find. Or call Toyota and see if they have different part numbers for the two.

In my 87 4runner, the answer was YES!
My pass side power window stopped working a long time ago so I replaced regulator with a manual one and a crank - regulator bolts right up.
