I got a kit off ebay for just under $60 with free shipping. The only thing is I don't like how it sits and the the 3" pipe is a bit short. I plan on doing the bat swap next weekend so I'm not all concerned how it fits right not.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/89-90...3A1|240%3A1318

I don't think it was all that unreasonable...I could be wrong but it seems to work alright.

Check out Junkers picture...he has a mini cone on his. This kit comes with a hose off the intake pipe (which I didn't know at the time). I'm going to swing by PepBoys at lunch to see if I can get a mini filter there.

Sorry it's morning and I'm still half asleep...It was 894x4pickup original post that Junker quoted. It's just above. I would have had the image but I guess I'm still a bit of a newb with this. But I'm getting better...I've read a lot but this is the first one I have joined.

I like the way it looks Lumpy. When you do the bat/intake swap it'll clean up the engine bay a little more, be sure and post up a picture.

There is indeed a little bit of cancer on that rig but nothing that looks too hard to fix. How is the frame?

From what I have seen so far the frame seems fine. I have not given it a real good go over as of yet. the weather is starting to break so I'll be under it soon. Hopefully next week to do the exhaust.

You know, if someone fabricated a custom battery mounting bracket for the intake/battery swap, you could make some good money *wink wink*

Would also make money selling kits. Just a box of spectre intake tubing, cone air filters, extension wires for the AFM cable, etc... even though most of this you can buy at autozone, I'd much prefer ordering a kit than having to figure out what I need.

Lumpy, you need to add some brake fluid or check your pads to see if they are worn out.

Got my little filter for the PAIR Valve this afternoon. I'll install it later on, no time right now. $11.00 at PepBoys, I really don't like to give them my $ but this time I guess it's alright. The hose that connects it to the intake is after the AFM on the original intake it's before the AFM. Not sure if that little bit makes a difference or not. We shall see, we shall see.

More time in the day is all I'll need, I'm trying to cut out sleeping as is ...
But that's a great thought, and a good looking mod. As for the intake that's why I bought one on ebay, I didn't wan to shop to get what I need...but now I know!!!

I picked some up while I was at Pep this afternoon, I noticed that as well, Thanks for the heads up though! The front pads seemed alright, I checked them when I swapped the rims shortly after I got the truck. I'm thinking I may have leaking cylinder in the rear. I think that's a Sunday afternoon job.

Went to add the little filter to the PAIR valve and noticed that it just won't fit. So do not discard the pipe from the old PAIR valve setup. You'll need to use it to make it all fit.

put that baby right into the resonator, eliminates the hoses. I used this, screwed it into the resonator, and hosed clamped the mini filter onto the smaller end

Anyone just eliminated the pair system & EGR setup all together ? I dont seem to have the EGR temp sensor on mine, so, I think I'm going to do away with it & block everything off. I would appreciate input or pic's any of you have of your trucks with it removed.
