Fenders?? WTF? They're different too???

Is it just the bolt holes in the core supports that are different, or is the physical structure different in a way that would have to be bent or cut??

oh yes, and 92-95 fenders are different. The interchange on fenders is 92-95 4Runners. The 90-91 4Runner and 89-95 Trucks use the same fenders (because they use sealed beam headlights)

If you have a 4x4 then ther will be no problems with fenders. You can change the headlights without changing the whole radiator support. All you need to do is drill some new holes for the 4runner lights.

While I am not familiar with all of the details, I can say for certain that the 4-runner uses a different core support and the the headlight probably won't be a direct fit. However, there are trucks out there with that modification so obviously it can be done.

Targetnut: Thanks for chiming in. And yea, you're right it can be done. Just gotta drill/modify a bit as you said.

Injected: Hope we have been helpful?!!

I used to manage a toyota wrecking yard, and we sold a lot of 4 runner fender to pickup guys, hell I put a 95 4-runner fender on my 89 pickup, bolted right up. I wanted to do the swap myself, I personally stripped a pickup and a 4 runner and parked them side by side, the core support is very different, but could be switched with some welding, and the grille and bumper and sidelights and headlights are all you need to do the swap.

If you could just easily swap the lights as some here have said, then a lot more people would do it. It is a very involved and expensive job, thats why I backed out on mine.

Check this kit out http://www.fbirides.com/product.asp?idno=8681 . Not saying it's plug and play but it says that just a couple of holes are needed to be drilled since these headlights come with special mounting brackets. My friend was looking to do this on his truck but changed his mind. This is actually a really common conversion with minitrucks. The 4x4 truck fenders and the 4runner fenders are the same. It's just the 2wd truck fenders that would have to be changed for the conversion.

From what I have seen it is basically a bolt on. I was told all you have to do is drill two holes for the composite headlight bucket bracket for left and right.

Now for the fendersm ALL 89-95 4wd truck and 4Runner fenders are they same! They will all interchange. I know this since I have a 93 2wd truck and I bolted on 95 4wd fenders with the regular headlight grill.

You will have to drill 6 holes for the 4runner grill and two hole for each headlight.. Measure and mount the headlights first, then the 4 runner grill snaps into the headlights then you can drill the holes for the grill and secure it.. Be careful not to drill into the main harness when mounting the grill and healights..

the headlight buckets are different. i hit a deer in my 93 runner bought a 91 runner that has the square headlights. everythign interchangable BUT the headlights. but you can a) drill a few holes to make it work, or, b) change the headlight buckets out (would require cutting and welding) either way is not hard just make sure u realign your headlights, i forgot to realign mine and at night all i could see was about 6 feet in front of my bumper =(
