86 4Runner won't start!
#21
It was so honestly rediculous I am almost embarrassed.
Well we replaced all of the fuses inside the truck weeks ago and the truck wouldn't start. Then we replaced all of the plugs and cleaned out the air filter, still wouldn't start. That is when I noticed the battery was in wrong, who knew the black cover went to the red pole? Then I replaced the fuses in the engine bay (the 80, 30 & 40) and the truck still wouldn't start. We got the test light out and it said there was nothing going to the 40 and 30 amps. so we started getting pissed off.
Then I got to the fuel pump and didn't hear anything coming from it, but the tank was full so I didn't take it out. So we decided to test all of the connections again with the test light and it was showing nothing. So we grabbed an old test light and BANG! It lights up like an xmas tree on everything, so the other light just crapped out on us mid check, lol.
The truck still wouldn't start though and I was ready to give up and bring it to a shop. For some reason, my dad said we should check all of the fuses again. The friggin EFI fuse blew again! The whole time after we had everything sorted out, the fuse was just blown! So i just stuck a new one in and BAM! She turns right over without a problem! Now the truck is running better than ever before. Probably because of the new plugs, the old ones were all junked up.
Thanks for all of the help guys! At least I got to learn some new things about the truck!:bigclap:
