i already have a 4inch suspension but i just want better clearance and just looks its my DD

just clearance the body. how much do you really need with an ifs? body lifts look horrible and do nothing but find an easy way out.

if you have to have a body lift i'd only go with the 2"

x2 on body lifts being bad, They cause more harm than good. Bumbers look like crap, radiator doesnt mount rite, shifters bind up, and im sure there are more!

If you buy a cheap kit and do things half assed then yes its gonna suck.

I use a performance accessories kit. My only complaint is the hardware was all grade 3. I wish I swapped it out to grade 5 or better before put it in.

Ive been runnin it for 2 years, not a single problem with anything. All my bumpers are the right height.

Your stock 4runner bumpers will be fine. The rear mounts to the body and the front will get raised up with brackets in the kit you get (if its good)

If you go through 4crawler, make a list of the parts you know you need.

People just tend to spread alot of mis-information about body lifts. The guys running hockey puck lifts give us a bad name!

They give so much more room for wheelin, workin and cooling...
I would just make sure you use grade 5 or 8 bolts... Grade 3 doesnt seem safe...

Body-lifts are fine for IFS. I have a SFA and with just a 2" BL lift it was way too tall IMHO.
I pulled it out. However that is on my 86 runner.
If you plan on seriously wheeling it later in it's life I wouldn't do a 3" BL. Too much of a CG difference.
You have a 4" suspension lift already you should be able to run 33's no problem 35's with just a little trimming.
Honestly I think bigger tires look better on a vehicle with less gap between them and the body.

On my 93 I ran a 1.5" BL with ball joint spacers and FJ80 short side cruiser coils with 33x12.50's and they cleared no problem and I wheeled it.


I would run just a 1" or 2" BL max.
If you are gonna buy a body-lift go with 4crawlers body-lift kit.
It's better than the Performance Accessories mass produced lift it has better hardware and the blocks are made out of sturdier material.
