1990 4runner compatible with 1995?
I own a 1995 4runner 2WD and want to convert it to 4x4. I've been offered a 1990 4R 4WD for a great price. Are they compatible? Can I swap parts from one car to another? What will I need?
Thanks for your help

Well your obviously going to need a front axle. Depending on the type of wheeling you do, I heavily encourage a solid front axle. Research it, check out some threads on this site and figure out what you want

Thanks for your replies! I´ve been reading some comments about problems with the wiring and the engine computer.
My 4R ins actually Automatic. The swap includes a manual tranny. Would like to hear your thoughts...
Will keep my 4R IFS, I live in Puerto Rico, we don´t have those rocky and steep trails u guys have up in the states.
