Yes, the motor mounts will line up. But save the ones off the original motor just in case.
You might run into a few issues with wiring. They changed a few plugs along the way. Everything else should be the same. The older motor will have a spring loaded timing belt tensioner rather than hydraulic, but thats no big deal.

I know the motor mounts off the 94 wont bolt on to the 88 block. The 88 block is not drilled and tapped for the upper holes although the boss is there to drill but i dont fill comfortable doing it. So i was hoping the original ones would work. I do not have the original ones off the 88 yet to compare them. was hoping somebody else has done this before.

The 88 actually has 3 bolts they are off set little. Bottom 2 are perfect the top 1 is different and 1988 is the only year they done that. Im looking at new mounts on line that goes between the block mount and frame mount on line ( the rubber piece) from 1988 to 1995 they are the same part number. So im thinking the mounts must be close just different bolt pattern on block. Does that sound right? Seems like if mount was different they would have different parts listed for that year.
