weber 38 dual fuel inlet?

Just recieved my new Weber 38dges, it has the normal fuel inlet that you would see on both the 32/36 and some 38's but mine has another inlet about 2 inches to the left. It looks like it leads right into the top of the fuel bowl through the casting. The inlet is just below where the air cleaner sits. Any ideas?

Do you have a picture of what you are talking about? This is a picture of a 38/38 installed in my old celica if that helps at all. Might have to zoom in on it.

Yours actually doesn't have one haha. I talked to Fred at Weber he told me that it's an over flow vent. If i kept my smog equipment on that would plug to a charcoal canister

Float bowl vent.. I had to mod mine to keep it from flooding on steep inclines.

Huh, cool. Well enjoy your 38. I sold my car pretty quick after I got all the vacuum leaks plugged, but it was a super reliable starter and I liked the electric choke a lot. Really gave the 22r a decent amount of power, but you could hear it sucking fuel from inside the cab

Yea in my research I've found out that jetting the 38 properly is where most failed. That being why most complain about gas mileage
