Spark Plug Recomendations.
So... im a Subaru guy. This is my 1st non-subaru. With the Subaru's, ive learned only to run NGK's, they work best with the Motor.
So, im assuming the same with the 22R's. What is the best plug to run? And what do you guys have them gapped at?
Part numbers help, thanks

Awesome, i love NGK so im glad to hear they are preffered for the 22R.
And when you say upgraded coil, what do they offer for that? I might wanna look into it as it seems my coil might be on its last leg (we'll find out after i replaced plugs)

The truck has new wires. They are some crappy autolites tho.

TMISIAK: DO you guys offer just the magnecore plug wires? I searched the site but all it came up with was the tune up kit. I just need those wires.

I prefer MSD myself. But you can run any kind of coil you want since 22R's have a external coil.
Then you can upgrade to a full MSD system and get some serious spark
.

has anyone heard of spark plugs called champions
the ones he says to use are gold "truck plugs"...
my dad said he has used them for a long time.
any recomendations on those?

20-year old wires suck, regardless of brand.
I'd suggest some new genuine stock wires, they work fine and will continue to do so for many years to come. NGK also makes a decent wireset, especially when you consider the price.
For plugs, Denso ones are about $10/set at the Toyota dealership. NGK are fine as well.
