my yota died on me

check it out guys i was driving and my truck cut out so i towed it back to my house it turns over but doesnt start so i checked the fuel pump (working)i checked the fuel filter fairly clean i replaced the plugs wires distributor cap and rottery button still nothing then i replaced the ignition coil still nothing
the only thing left i can think of is the igniter under the coil
any suggestions?

Ok, so the first thing I'd do is find out if I'm missing fuel or spark. Spark is easy to check any number of ways. If you have spark, pull a plug and see if its wet. That is where I would start as opposed to shotgunning it.

sparks not making it past the coil thats why im thinkin ignitor

its an 84 4x4 but i put an ignitor on it and it fired right up

Congrats and minor question. Why did you do all that shotgunning before you isolated it as a spark problem? I suppose you probably figured those parts might have needed replacing anyway... just curious.

i wasnt "shotgunning" my plugs were toast anyway and i figured a tune up would do it some good
