Looking for the average measured articulation on spring over sas'ed rigs
Too start off, I have searched and searched. From the info. I have found over the years, off the top of my head the average articulation for a sas'ed yota with leaf springs is between 12-14". My question is to try to see if that is true. So to all on YT with a sas that has actually measured from center of hub droop to compression, lets see the numbers and some specs. of your sas.

What about yotas that have the solid from the factory? I've got 3 inch lift springs on mine, and I have measured 24 inches of flex. Everything else (i.e. steering etc) is stock for now.
This is on my 85 rustrunner.

Oh the steering is getting done soon cause its all messed up from it now. Really not advisable. No joke, do high steer!! My steering binds sometimes when I try to turn right, and then it will pop free. Not safe!

I was hitting something over 30" here, so much that my crossover steering was binding up:

Of course, being an '85, it was solid front axle from the factory. But up front is all factory springs (as noted on the above web page).

Mine was 24" of travel all the way around after the swap, then I limited it to around 18" because I didn't have enough rear wheelwell room or room for taller shocks without punching through the engine compartment or into the rear cabin of my 4Runner!

I guess I'm cornfused.
From droop to bumpstop, you guys are getting 20-30"? That means you have 20-30" travel in your shocks?
I have 14" travel Bilsteins. I have just over 12" of travel from bumpstop engagement to full droop (shock limit).
This isn't a good pic, but it's standard rear springs to the front, 63" chevy's in the back and sky crossover with front axle moved forward about 3-4".

ADDED Youtube vid of some flexing

Travel is measured outboard of the shocks and bumpstops at the center of the wheel hub. Travel is also measured when the suspension is "crossed up" like when the truck is on an RTI Ramp so you can see maximum compression on one side and maximum droop on the other side.
I also have 14" travel Bilsteins, but the hub travels further when the axle is crossed up. So the amount of travel in the shocks can translate into almost double that amount of wheel travel when a solid axle is crossed up.
Hope this helps...

4crawler is running crossover in that pic!? but i see the tie rod or whatever BELOW the springs? i thought crossover put all the steering above the springs?
either way..that's some AMAZING flex..
and you should check out the SAS guys that are Link'd front and rear yea..more like fricken 40"-60" of flex lmao
