Bobbed my bed (PICS)
I finally had good weather around here so i decided to bob my bed. I removed 11 inches. Wasn't as bad as i thought it would be. Im really happy with how it turned out. If you have any questions feel free to ask.
Back section removed
11 inches marked, ready to cut off
Cutting away
Inside of bed marked to be cut
How it looks with the section cut out
Grinding the paint away so i can weld it
Test fit
Welding it up
Inside of bed welded up
Outside of bed welded up
Weld ground down
I tried to make it as smooth as possible with the grinder
Put Bondo on and sanded it smooth
Painting the bed
All done

Thanks guys. I couldn't be more happy with how it turned out. Next i need to install my high steer and power steering.
BASKETCASE: I only welded the outside parts of the bed, but you shouldn't have any problems welding under the bed rails.
