Double shackles like to bend springs, that's why they've fallen out of popularity. I have Ford springs on my 85 that flex and ride great till they hit the overload leaves which can be removed, I just ended up having a bunch of other issues with the truck and never got around to it. Links vs chevy's is two very different price ranges and performance's. Not just flex (which isn't everything) but over all how the truck acts off road links would be much better.

The inbetween would of course be a set of marlin/all pro/trail gear springs. The next Toyota I build will end up on 3" trail gears for a good mix of flex and staying low to the ground.

Rears up front and F150's will give you what you want but you will need to do some fabrication to make them work. The double shackle thing gives you lots of uncontrolled droop (similar to allowing a coil spring to fall away from it's upper mount) which makes for a great ramp queen but they've been known to unload on downhills and side hills which can make for a rollover situation.
