New Shop Vac for the rig

New Shop Vac for the rig
I have an old Shop Vac brand, and it is well used, time to retire it.
Been surfing off and on looking for some as of late, and I ran across the Bull Dog model of Shop Vac.
http://www.shopvac.com/vacs/list.asp...=Bull%20Dog%AE
It uses the smaller hose than the other ones used for cleaning/working in you garage.
I have been using my Kenmore Whisper Quiet home vac for doing my rigs for several years, and I really do not like dragging it out in all the muck outside.
Anyone using one of the Bull Dog series, and it so do you like it?
My local Napa warehouse stocks it, and I can get a discount on it since I work for Boeing.
Looking at the 3rd model, the 4.5 HP one.

Just got back from Napa's huge warehouse down by my work.
Picked up the model above.
I am sure this sucker is gonna suck good.
I have pine needles everywhere inside the rig now from just opening up the doors.
Rig is covered in them on the outside too.

Corey, I picked up one of these last year for $55:

About every few months they have special online pricing, some not advertised in stores. It was an extra 20% off the sale price. You can sign up for their e-mail specials at their site.

What I like about the Bull Dog series of the model I got, it has a 12' hose, and it is smaller diameter, a little easier to work with.
But alas, I have to go back at 9 am and trade it in.
Murphy's law struck again!
I bought a used one.
It smells like gas, and is missing the tool tray thingy that snaps onto the caster tray, and also the small diameter crevice tool.
Already been in contact with them, and I have to take the whole thing back and they have one left.
We will examine it, and if it is also used or missing pieces, my moola is coming back.
I have bad luck shopping all the time.
Craps like this happens often to me.
Blows my weekend, missed my nap today too
Thank God there is a 4 day weekend coming up soon!

Gas?! Lucky it didn't explode. Add shop vacs to the 'What not to buy used' thread.
Oh, my little Craftsman works well enough except for the rigid extensions that are a friction fit and tend to fall off the flexible hose end.

Didn't mythbusters prove that it couldn't be done.

Got the new vac, exchanged the one I got yesterday.
This one smells like gas too.
I think it is the chems in it from the plastic.
I am sure it will go away.
Very nice unit.
18' cord, but the best part is the 12' hose.
I will not have to drag the vac right up next to the rig.
Now if only our monsoons will stop for awhile I would test it out on the rig.

Wow, we had a break from the high winds and rain today.
First day the sun came out for awhile too.
Tried the vac out, it rocks.
I get excited easy
What makes this so cool is the long hose.
Most shop vacs have a short 6' hose, and you are always tugging on the hose vac'ing out the rig, and pulling the vacuum too.
With 12' of hose, the canister was by my back cargo door, and the hose reached clear up front to the front seats.
Did not have to pull the vac around at all.
I highly recommend this Bulldog.
