Region’s response team receives two new Hilux pickups after local leaders request assistance to help country cope with crisis.

If there is one thing we can all agree on, aside from the fact that we dig everything that Chevrolet makes, it’s that this %$#@!* coronavirus is a beast and we can’t wait to see it done and over with and never hear its ungodly name again.

And when it comes to fighting this ferocious monster, at least there is Chevrolet and it’s equally beastly trucks available to at least play a part in helping the world get through this crisis more comfortably and safely.

A new report in Uganda’s PML Daily comes news that the local Mandela Group Companies, which is the umbrella subsidiary of many area auto companies, is donating two brand-new Toyota Hilux pickup trucks in efforts to fight the COVID 19 crisis.

Mandela Group’s CEO, Venkatesh Kumar, recently delivered the pair of new Toyota pickups directly to Prime Minister Dr. Ruhakana, who is also spearheading the region’s Coronavirus National Task Force.

Other large area business groups have also been donating vital items, from vehicles to medical supplies, with local donation efforts expected to rise.

We agree with the Facebooker who commented below the PML Daily story: “Mandela Group, may God reward you for your genuine heart.”
