Toyota GR Supra Drift Car

Checkout various Supra generations doing everything from side jumps on a frozen lake, to playing a game of HORSE, drift style!

These videos should help get the adrenaline pumping while we wait to get our own cars and trucks out to play again. You can almost feel the g’s and smell the burning rubber while watching these Supras being expertly pushed to the limit in this video collection. There is an unusual drifting skills competition using a pair of brand-new GR Supras. If you are more a fan of the A80 Supra, there are plenty of them both on tarmac and on snow and ice. We have no doubt that you will find something you like here.

Kicking things off are a triumvirate of Toyota Formula Drift drivers piloting a pair of new GR Supras. Ryan Tuerck officiates a game of HORSE between drivers Fredric Aasbø and Ken Gushi. This game has nothing to do with shooting a basketball, instead it deals with car control. There are a number drift challenges such as who can do the fastest doughnuts and who can best destroy a cheese pizza in the trunk. While these may not be the most practical tests to sell a Supra to a potential buyer, they sure are fun to watch. Which driver will take home the prize?

The next video is short, but it sure is sweet. Fredric Aasbø is at it again, this time in Sweden and on ice! He is piloting a fourth generation Supra around an ice track. An ice track is cool enough, no pun intended, but this one includes jumps. The Supra is doing sideways ice jumps, how fun is that? If you look closely you may even spot an Opel Omega B wagon joining in on the fun.

Back on dry land, the next video takes us to the French Alps and a beautiful mountain road lined with the fallen autumn leaves. It is a stunning backdrop for an A80 Supra drift car. The car pierces the silence with the sound of screeching tires and a roaring engine. The pilot expertly slides the car up the mountain and we are treated to a masterful performance. This is five minutes well spent.

Sticking with the A80, the next video shows one modified to pump out 700 horsepower. Watch drifter Kane Pisani put his car through its paces at a drift exhibition in Italy. The powerful car is pushed within inches of the barriers as he drifts through the course. At least we think he is inches from the barriers. The car is generating so much smoke from the rear tires, it is tough to see exactly where the car is at some points. Regardless, it is an impressive display of what these cars are capable of.

Up next is the first purpose-built drift car based on the Toyota GR Supra. This beast is cranking out 800 horsepower and looks awesome. Drift car champion Daigo Saito shakes down the newly built drift machine and shows what it can do. It is nice to see a beautiful 2JZ inline-six engine used to power this Supra. It displaces 3.4 liters and is force fed with a giant HKS turbo. This thing looks and sounds amazing.

Bonus video! We going to showcase just five videos, but a winter drift video shot in Russia and set to Kid Rock is just too good to pass up. Yes, there is a Corvette keeping the Supra company, but hey, it is having fun too. The Supra looks like a post-apocalyptic beast stolen from the set of a Mad Max movie. There is no way you can watch this and not smile and be pumped up for a drive.

We hope these videos brightened up your day as much as they did ours. It helps to remind us why we love cars so much in the first place. Seeing what they are capable of in the hands of experts is awe-inspiring and a wonderful way to pass a bit of time.
