Cb Antenna Mounting?
Looking for ideas on antenna setups. I only have the radio so far, a cobra 19. Suggestions and especially pics on how you guys have mounted your antennas would be appreciated. I have a 95 4runner if that helps.
Thanks

Another quick question, how hard is to hear the cb radio speaker when it's mounted in the center consul or in the ash tray? Can someone post pics of how they mounted their cb in the ash tray slot? plz.

Looks like this (just ignore the rest of the crap): ![]() Mine just fit right in there. IIRC, I just used the factory CB bracket and squeezed some rubber in between that and the ashtray mounts. Hasn't budged since I put it in. You'll most likely have to experiment a bit. Just cut a way a little at a time and you should be good to go. ![]()

Here is how I mounted mine (although the exact technique would not apply to the 2nd gen 4Runner):

Well I've pretty much settled on a firestick II using a hood mount. Gonna look at putting my radio in ash try slot and buying the antenna stuff once I get back in town. Thanks guys.
