Tacoma rear speaker upgrades

I've done some searching and didn't really find an answer that I was looking for.

I've got the 6 speaker system with the 3 in 1 head unit. That doesn't bother me. But, I plan on upgrading to a new deck in the future. Anyways, I'm pleased with the front speakers, they seem to put out some good sound. However, the rears suck when you compaire them to the fronts. I know that's because of the size and the fact that the front speakers are components.

Ok, back on topic. I'm looking at a good way to upgrade the rear speakers. I'm not talking about getting some other 5 by 7's. I'm looking to put some 6.5" components back there as well. I'm just currious if any one here knows of, or has done something similar to this. I'll probably end up getting an amp, and probably a matching set for the front.

-Thanks

replace all 4 speakers. the stock one are 20w paper POS's "all 4" fronts have a, cap bridge for the bottom grade tweeters. I put component 5x7 in fromt. what in improvment. and 2 way 5x7 in back All alpine. it rocks. The only way to get good sound out is to get a sub, it doesn't need to be huge, and run the mids and highs to the main speakers. I got a 7" sub running off 100 watts and it sounds awsome

I'll probably end up putting the infinity 5"X8" components in the back. Then upgrade the fronts (size?) and finally get a deck.

Yeah, I figured that. I'm currious if any one has heard these speakers. I'd like to know how they sound, if they absolutly need an amp, good or bad on the low and high sides, etc.

depends...are you running an aftermarket HU? you can get some decent components and let the HU power them...or get some kick-ass components and get a separate amp for them...so many options...just look at your budget and figure out what u can afford and roll from there

Thanks, I just got some of those infinity's off of e-bay for 114 with shipping. Not bad. I've got the stock deck right now, I plan on getting a new one in the future sometime. Now what size are the fronts again?
