stealth 2nd gen systems with 10" or larger subs

Are there any stealth 2nd gen systems here? Im looking for ones running 2 or more 10" or larger subs, multiple amps, high quality mids and tweets in front.

I need ideas for mine to get going on. I have 4 10" subs, 2 8" mid bass, 2 6" mids, 2 tweeters and 3 amps. It is JL, MTX, RF, Morel, Precision Power, Carver equipment. Im wanting to install all this, stealth as I can make it to keep the full function of the cargo areas, folding seats and footwells.

The amps total will provide 1100 watts rms. What electrical components should I upgrade as well?

Im looking for sound quality and sheer volume for fun. Been wanting to do this in the runner for 10 years now. Keep saying "one day".

Any ideas?

That's the one I was ggoing to suggest having a look at. I plan to do something similar with my amps/crossovers on the roof.

Thats a good install. A couple things I think of off the bat. Im not pickin on his design, just noticing things that I might do different in my install, or wish I could.

Id like to see the amp rack mounted to the roof crossmembers under the headliner. Only problem is it gets awfull hot. I went for awhile with no headliner in my 90 last summer. Major heat on that metal. Needs some sort of heat barrier. My head could feel the difference.

Other thing I notice is he uses 1 12" sub. I have 4 10" subs Id like to stuff in there.

I was impressed with his sub box and electronic panel. They looked awsome there. And they looked like it was ment to be there. Awsome job.

The nice thing about the rack OVER the headliner is that you can remove it when you decide to remove the stereo. Since the headliner is rigid, there's really no way to go under it or tuck it up any higher other than cutting it.

OK. For the subs, I will use a sealed 2 part box. I can make boxes on both sides and maintain 48.5" cargo space between them. So I can haul plywood. The box would be an L shape with the bottom part extending along the floor of the cargo area making a false floor a couple inches high. This will also serve to house amps as well. It will be easy removeable if I need to.

Question:

1: Will an L shape work for a box? The top of the L will be large enough to mount the 2 10" drivers, the bottom part may only be 1" to 2" high internally, 20" long and 15" wide. Will it function like a proper box with that odd shape and that small of a "slot" type of box area?

2: What final sub system Q should I shoot for? .7, .8, .9, 1, or 1.2? I used to go full out and build for a .7 Q but my understanding now is that .7 is not needed in a car system and could cost me some mid bass punch. This will affect the size box I need also.

The subs Im using are 2 10" JL audio 10W1 and 2 MTX Blue Thunder. Reason for those is that I already have them and have always wanted to use them in the Runner.

hey how much space are you playing with? I got one 10" for now and I plan on adding another later. I don't use my rear seat much. Maybe storage or to bring a friend wheelin. I got a custom box that fits either behind the drivers side or behind the passenger. I am about 5'10" and fit easily on both sides. I've had my brother 6' 1" fit with room as well. The box takes up about 12" of space. I got a new seat warmer now with the amp. However it does get a bit warm if I run the sub for a few hours (long road trips). My amp is like 300W.
I'll post some pics up here as soon as I get it back from the shop.

My plan for the subs has changed a little. I will run 1 10" sub on each side of the cargo area built into the area where the pocket would be. It will stick out a little, but I would still have room to put a 4x8 sheet of plywood back there if I needed to, and they would not take up useable space.

The other 2 10" subs would be placed in a rectangle box about 5" high, 15" wide and however long it needs to be as long as the rear seat can be used. It will be placed on the cargo area floor either in the middle, or on one side so my bicycle will still fit.

If I need to haul a large item, or lots of stuff, I could remove it and set it aside and still have 2 10" subs playing.
