I'm going to swap a standard 92 1UZ into my 4Runner and then mount an Eaton 112 on it. They're cheap (3-500 bucks) and relatively new roots style chargers, but the cost of the manifold is kinda expensive (800 USD I think). On top of that, an intercooler would be hard to fit on/in my cramped engine bay. It all comes down to cash flow.
Finish getting your engine rebuilt yet Mikronized?

Could you do me a huge favor and take pics of the motor mounts and the oil pan and exhaust manifolds? I'am putting a 2UZ into a 93 2wd so any info would help. Great project so far!!

I know that you said that you are frankenstiening (i made up a new word) the transmission and transfercase,
I was just curious to see if anyone has tried putting a dirvorced t-case behind the stock lexus transmission,
I think they have that weird triangle output, but it still might be possible
just a thought.......
i can't wait to get out of college so i will have money to do this kind of stuff (shouldn't have waited 5-1/2 years in the military to start school!)
looks good so far

things are still in process. we waited on a bunch of gaskets from the lexus dealership... so that held things up... but progress is happening.

update... things are still moving forward.
we've spent alot of time getting the lexus TC to work with the toy controller in the tranny, but that seems to be figured out now.
yay progress.
