cuting the rear fenders

i have an 85 4runner and want to cut the rear fenders just wanted to see some pics of your fenders and tips on how you did it

Tricky part is that you are cutting both the outer fender and into the rear cargo area and wheel well. So you need to close up the opening in the body after wards by rebuilding the wheel well arch. I think the best place to trim to is even with the arch of the inner wheel well in order to leave a flat surface inside to seal up to. I marked the cut lines on my '85 a few years back using a jig that followed the lines of the inner fender while tracing the line on the outer fender and think that is where I will cut mine:

On my second gen I cut the outer sheet and left the inner, then I bent the inner to meet up with the outer and buzzed them togeather....easy
