DO NOT order from Weber Carbs Direct

they do not sell genuine weber carbs, rather they sell weber branded solex carbs.

I made the mistake of ordering from this company on the advice from members here on YT.

After doing my own research i have found out the truth about weber carbs direct

here is a link explaining everything http://genuineweber.blogspot.com/

I made this post so that no one else will order from weber carbs direct.

I just got off the phone with someone at weber carbs direct. I asked if the one i ordered was made in spain he said yes. I then said so why is it being shipped by INTERCO PRODUCTS CORP (has nothing to do with Interco tires), he says that is the parent company, I say ok so why does this website say INTERCO PRODUCTS CORP sells weber branded solex carbs? he goes "just return it when it gets there" and hangs up.

so i will be sending this carb back when it gets here.

I ordered one and installed it but took it off. I dont think they will take it back. They also told me it was made in Spain. I heard these guys are hard to deal with and I wouldn't trust getting my money back after all the bad stories I heard.

I'm kind of re considering even ordering one now. if I had a 22r i would agree with you but the 20r carb which i have kind of blows, if you thought my 84 was gutless you have no idea this current truck i have is sooooo slow. its the only thing i dont really like about it, hopefully i can do either a 22r or 2rz or 3 rz swap sometime down the road.

hows life in paradise man?

Its okay up here kinda boreing. Why not swap in a 22r or 22re? Or just throw some different gears in it for the time being?

Swap in a 6bt.

That damn motor makes my 3.4 feel like a slug

haha that would be insane, I want to do gears, prolly wont happen until after winter though.

I'll most likely do a 22r swap, but if I really want to get into a huge project ill prolly do a 2rz. because if im gonna do all that wiring i want something better than a 22re.

this 79 has almost no wires, but toyota compensated for the lack of wiring by adding a plethora of vacuum lines.

Yea did you check your gear ratio yet? You might be stoked to just find a factory set of 4.56s for cheap and it might make a big difference.

i havnt pulled the 3rds yet but according to my research it should have 4.37s stock, it had a 4 spd and i swapped in a 5 spd, and it has tiny 235s on it right now with alloy rims so i know its not the tires making it slow its the tired old 20r.

id like to find a nice early 22r and build it in the garage while still driving my truck
