yeah i wasnt sure how far the suspension would flex so i unbolted the shock. but it ended up reaching the droop and the compression.

here is some pics of the 3/4

Hmm. Its wierd that the front is doing all the work while the rear isn't doing much at all in those pics. I would have thought the opposite would have occurred.

Congrats on finishing it. Please update when you have some trips on it, specifically how in handles on steep descents. I am curious to see how it works and how you like it.

Good eye Isaac - I had thought there was something that didn't look quite right, but couldn't place it...

I speculate that your vertical (or near vertical) shackle is not allowing the spring to extend it's length and therefore get any compression travel - looks like all you are getting is flattening out the buggy leaf. This could very well work itself out after break-in.

Look forward to seeing some wheeling pix!

yeah i see that. i plan of putting some 63inchers in the back soon. but for now i may just move the buggy leaf forward some so that there is more angle

i have a new wobble. i put longer springs in the front and did a 3/4 elliptical in the rear. i drove it down the road and at about 25-30 mph it would start to shake, not the kind of shake like the wheel is out of balence. any ideas?

Sounds like death wobble. Get your caster checked.

If its out, you can either shim it, reweld the perches, cut and turn, or just buy hydro assist.

As for the flex imbalance, I'm not sure the shackle will help. The angle isn't great, but when the upper leaf hits the frame, it should be back enough to flex the rear spring. Do you know what your spring rates are? One option would be a stiffer spring in the front.

shorten your buggy spring this will give u a better shackle angle...
get new rear shackles, hate to be a negitive dude but i wouldn't trust those
make sure you buggy springs are the same length holding he shackle at the same point so all 4 conors are are staright and ture... like this

| |

if they r not it will ride like this(aka dog tracking, thrust angle)
which will give a bad vib

i think it may be the caster now that you said that. i didnt realize that would be a problem but when i put the new spring on it moved the axle forward. so i took the shim out and the axle was turned.
