Blazeland on t100. Best steering upgrades? And shock lengths
I'm about to purchase a blazeland long travel kit and was hoping I could get some feed back on what sort of steering upgrades I should do? I'm not really going to be doing any jumping. Also the kit recommends A certain bilstein shock (#f4-be5-6582-h5) that mounts up to the stock location. Does anyone know if the same length shock is right for the t100?

so question for you... what axles are you going to use? You realize the bzlnd kit is built to use the t100 axles and is made for the trucks and runners. Do they have extra long t-100 axles for the use on the t 100? Try google searching the part number for the bilstiens. You should be able to find out what applications they are for, namely if its the stock length or if its for lifted rigs.

I would recommend talking to Total Chaos about the axle issue. They say custom 300M axles are used when installing their kit's on T100's. As far as the steering is concerned, your definitely going to want to upgrade your idler arm, either with a brace, or, again, with Total Chaos. Here's a link to their idler arm. It's the third item from the top.

I'm aware of the axle issue. The total chaos axles are pretty sweet but I can sleeve or send my stock ones out to be modified for less money. And since I'm only running the v6 I really don't need the 300m hardened stuff. The halfshaft is the week point in my driveline anyway. Ill definently check out that idler arm though. And I'm thinking since the suspension is identical for the t100 and the older trucks the shock should be the same length and mounted the same... maybe? Time for some google searches!

I just called offroad warehouse it looks like other than the valving the t100 and 85-95 toys use identical length shocks. As for the steering. I noticed tc has a full steering kit with rods and other stuff. Is this something I need or can use the stock setup with just the pitman arm? Oh also steering stabilizers?

Because a lift doesn't increase suspension performance and the longtravel will be sweet for both high speed and crawling arrticulation while keeping my center of gravity low. I do 70% desert 30% crawling. If I get into some more hairy stuff I might get a lift later.

Ya I just got my shocks in. I went with 8.5 fox remote res. Gonna get the blazeland shock hoop. As for the axles I can use the total chaos extended ones. As for steering I'm going to upgrade as stuff wears out. Balljoints first. Balljoints are weaker for big hits but last much longer.
