Aftermarket Rims

Ok, I tried doing a search and came up with no matches, not sure if I was searching correctly. I saw an add for some black aftermarket rims and BFG MT 32x11.5x15, that came off a 99WD Tahoe, they are 6 lug. They look like the everyday black rims with the red and blue line on them out part of the rim that you see advertised in for wheel and package deals. I’m waiting for the person to reply back to my e-mail if he knows if they will fit my truck and additional information on the rims. Any chance they will fit my 89pickup?

6-lug is fine (6 on 5.5" is pretty std.), the two things to check are the backspacing:

you want 4.75" or maybe a little less, and the ID of the hub center hole. Ideally it should be large enough to fit over your front hubs

Thanks again 4Crawler. I found out the rims are 15x10, am I going to run into any problems with it on the 32, I'm refering to problems with the rims itself? What about if I decide on 33s later?

That is pretty wide for that tire, 7" or 8" wide rim is ideal, at least for off-road use. Wider rim will likely cause more problems with rubbing than a narrower rim.

Thanks 4Crawler, they were sold a few days ago so at least I know now if it comes up again. I appreciate your information on the different threads I have posted.

Hey 4Crawler, you might be able to answer this, I looked through the link you gave me and couldn't find the answer. A couple shops I went to mentioned I would need to purchase after market rims if I did a 4 inch suspension lift. The shops stated, in the catalog, thestock rim will not work, because the suspension needs a rim with 3.75 backspacing or less. Is this just a way for the suspension companies and shops to get us to buy rims/tires. Any truth to this and what is the back spacing on the stock Toyota Truck rim? My rim is similar to the one below.

RIM

Stock wheels are 4.75" b/s:

Many of the 4" IFS lift kits need 3.75" or less for wheel/tire clearance with the dropper suspension compontents. For 33" or smaller tires, there are easier ways to fit the tire:
