265/70/17 tires

Has anybody put on 265/70/17 tires on a stock Sequoia? From the factory they come with the 265/65/17.

Matt

264 you mean 265 right?

Go to www.tirerack.com and check out their site, it sell let you know if the tire will fit your rim or not.

I know it will fit the rim as it has the same with, it is the overall diamater and the room in the fender I'm worried about. There isn't a lot of room when the fron wheels are turned slightly between the reaer of the tire and the rear of the fender (on the front). I was looking to see if anybody has done it and how much (if any) rubbing they are having. The 265/70/17 size seems to be available in more tires then the stock size.

Ok, depending on the tire manufacturer, a 265/65/R17 has a diameter of 30.6" and a width of 10.4". A 265/70/R17 has a diameter of 31.6" and the same width of 10.4"...these measures are of a BFGoodrich tire. So you may have to do more research on the fit but I can tell you that I currently fit the 265/65/R17 on a stock 1995 T100 4x4 with a stock suspension and I have plenty of room. and I must say the tundra/sequoia 5 spoke rims look good on a T100...

They fit - also check your owners manual

My buddy has 05 Tundara with the 17" Sequoia (style) wheels, and he just put 265 70 17's BFG AT's on. I'm going to do the same with my 03 Limited Sequoia. You may get a little rub when the wheel is turned to lock on U turns etc.. BTW - Read your book that came with the Sequoia It states either tire can be used ( 265 65 17 or optional 265 70 17) . They really look great I must say. The wheel well gets the treatment it deserves.

Cheers

The manual says 265/70/16, not for the 17" rims.

the tocoma is entirely different than the tundra/sequoia trucks. The 70 series will fit a sequoia but I have no idea if they will fit your tecoma
