What size is the rear axel of the '97 4runner

Im about to buy gears and want to make sure Im buying the right stuff. I'm ordereing gears for a 8" rear end. My runner is a '97 3.4L 2wd. and the stock gearing ratio was 4.100 I'm going to 4.88. Also is there anything I need to know about buying gears and getting them installed (like what should come with the gear kit to make it easy to install). Thanks and Mahalo for the help guys. It might be wise to buy a Master Insall Kit for those gears, especially if you have higher miles. (I had ~170k when I re-geared and my bearings were shot)

In case you're still wondering . 2wd is the same size as 4wd (8" v6) . Stay away from Genuine gear. I prefer Precision gear or Yukon.
